Athletic Program
Varsity/Junior Varsity teams represent St. Jude Educational Institute in Boys Football, Girls Volleyball, Boys and Girls Basketball, and Boys and Girls Track and Field. Other varsity sports may be added depending upon student interest. In order to receive a certificate/letter for athletic participation, an athlete must participate in a sport for an entire season unless participation is precluded due to injury or transfer. The athlete must display a genuine interest in and sense of dedication to the sport.
Athletes need to exhibit DEDICATION, TEAMWORK, CONSISTENCY, and LEADERSHIP. A dedicated athlete is willing to give his/her best at all times. He/she understands that he/she is representing St. Jude Educational Institute and not his/her own personal interests. The team player supports others and is attentive to the coaching staff and their directions. The consistent player maintains effort and motivation throughout the season. The St. Jude athlete exhibits leadership through a positive attitude and encouragement of his/her teammates.
