Academics
Students, parents, teachers, administrators, and school board members work together to give academiceducation a top priority at St. Jude Educational Instutute.  The St. Jude Educational Institute Board sets policy; the Principal ensures that policies are in place on a day-to-day basis.  Faculty members employ a variety of methodologies and teaching techniques to assist stduents in the learning process. Parents provide support to their children.  However, learning is primarily the responsibility of each student.  Stduents need to accept this responsibility by:

  • bringing the required materials to class each day
  • maintaining a courteous and attentive demeanor in the classroom
  • using class time profitably
  • participating in class activities by listening, asking questions, answering
  • questions, and contributing to small and large group discussions
  • spending a significant amount of time in study outside of class
  • attending mandatory tutorials
  • handing work that is thorough, neat, and on time
  • organizing class notes, tests, and papers in a manner that is helpful to study
  • seeking the assistance of the teacher when extra help is needed
  • maintaining awareness of academic progress in each class

Academic Goals for the School Year
